Stork Davies is excited to announce the opening of a second office in Fremantle’s historic west end.
Having been solely based in the Perth CBD since its inception, the firm’s port city investment has seen it take up residence in the 150-year-old Fremantle Chamber of Commerce building on Phillimore Street.
In doing so, the firm has become one of only a few WA commercial law practices to maintain a physical presence in both locations.
The firm has a genuine connection with the area, with the Davies name being associated with the city’s commercial and political landscape since 1834: firm principal Shannon Davies counts two former Fremantle mayors in his family tree, as well as some of the city’s earliest and most well-known pawnbrokers, vintners, hotel owners, and undertakers.
Stork Davies managing principal Michael Stork said that the firm had proven itself as a quality alternative to large, national and international law practices in the areas of property and commercial law, and was excited to share its expertise with the Fremantle community.
“We feel that Freo is on the up, and that there are opportunities for us to add real value to the ongoing development and revitalisation of the city,” said Mr Stork.
The firm recently acted on the $12.5M sale and purchase of The Piazza, a landmark retail and commercial asset on the Fremantle cappuccino strip.
Chamber of Commerce CEO Chrissie Maus said that she was delighted to welcome Stork Davies both as a valued new tenant within the Chamber’s heritage building, and as a member of Fremantle’s broader business community.
“It is always exciting to see respected professional firms choosing to invest in Fremantle, particularly within the heart of our CBD. Their presence further strengthens the depth of professional capability within the city, and reflects the continued confidence businesses have in Fremantle’s future,” said Ms Maus.
